The Committee on Healthcare Financing is a trade association of mortgage bankers, investment bankers, and financial consultants dedicated to providing government-enhanced financing for hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and seniors’ housing. The Committee works closely with the lending industry and the Federal Government to improve and protect government-sponsored loan programs for our nation’s health care facilities.
Our goals are to:
preserve, promote, and improve loan and financing programs for health care facilities that are insured, guaranteed, credit enhanced, subsidized, or otherwise supported or made by federal, state, and local governments and/or government-sponsored entities including, but not limited to, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Section 232 and Section 242 loan insurance programs, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s health care loan programs, and government-sponsored entities’ senior housing programs;
work with lenders, borrowers, related third parties, and governments (administrative and legislative branches) to educate both the private and public sectors on the availability of, the rules and requirements for, and issues related to, government-enhanced financing for health care facilities;
work with Federal, state, and local governments (administrative and legislative branches) to develop statutes, rules, program guidance, and other policy guidelines and requirements to strengthen and expand government-enhanced loan programs for health care facilities;
advocate for the use and expansion of government-enhanced loan programs for health care facilities, including advocating for or against legislation, regulations, proposed policies, or other actions (both governmental and nongovernmental) that affect government-enhanced financing for health care facilities; and
encourage cooperation among those engaged in furthering the Committee’s objectives through publications, education, and mutual assistance.
